Congratulations on taking the first step! Making the decision to start a new journey can be scary as well as exciting. Venturing into the unknown when so much of what you've been doing, is familiar, is a big step.

 Ideally, therapy is an experience that:

  • challenge ones fears or expectations,

  • encourages to safely try on new ways of thinking and behaving,

  • adopt healthier ways of relating to others,

  • develop a more positive view of self and

  • feel unacceptable feelings and emotions

You might be thinking, "I made the decision, now what?" Well, that's where I come in.  Your path is your path, the journey is yours, there is no road-map.  We will work together to map out how you would like to get there. These changes do not all happen at once. However within a safe environment, we can begin taking the next steps together.

for individuals

I work with adolescents and adults. I may occasionally work with couples and/or families if it feels helpful to you to enhance your individual therapy. I conduct sessions primarily online via secure HIPAA compliant videoconferencing.

We will work together to;

  1. Understand the core of your stress.

  2. Uncover your unique style of responding. Your unique style includes your past experiences, your fears and negative thinking and beliefs around those experiences, as well as your strengths and individual resources.

  3. Uncover the deepest troubling thoughts that arise with regard to the event, for example “ I am not good enough”

  4. Challenge unhealthy thoughts and behaviors (your current unique style).

  5. Try on and consider new ways of responding to old information; thereby interrupting unhelpful cycles and patterns

what to expect

Your first visit 1-2 visits  meetings will consist of understanding and assessing your specific needs and the goals for therapy. This may include you being asked to provide information on current issues as well as historical background regarding those issues. At the end of the assessment, you and I will discuss thoughts and feedback, plan of intervention, next steps and decide together if you would like to continue therapy.

  • Initial session (first visit) 75 minutes

  • Individual Sessions are $100 per session

  • Payment forms accepted by cash and credit card- Visa/Mastercard/American Express

I am an out of network provider. This means I do not take any insurance but after you have paid, I will give you an invoice to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
