Healing in community
"Rarely, if ever, are any of us healed in isolation. Healing is an act of communion."
Groups for women and therapists
Group psychotherapy is a special form of therapy in which a small number of people meet together under the guidance of a trained therapist to help themselves and one another. Group therapy can help people learn about themselves, improve their interpersonal relationships and learn specific skills.
DO YOUR WORK
Clinician Consultation and Reflective Practice Group
DO YOUR WORK is a consultation group for Black women and women of color clinicians who want to think carefully about their clinical work and about what that work is asking them to examine in themselves. A member brings a case, the group thinks together about the client and the treatment, and then we widen the lens to include the clinician's own reactions, assumptions, social location, and countertransference.
Each session holds three levels at once: the systemic and contextual, the relational, and the intrapsychic.

A Therapy Group for Black Women
Coming Home & Becoming is a therapy group for Black women who are ready to look at what we have had to carry, what it has protected, what it has cost, and what might become possible if more of our energy were available for living. Together we explore the psychological labor so many of us hold, the ways we adapted in order to survive and succeed, and the internalized messages that shape how much room we allow ourselves to take.
The group moves through an eight-session cycle, and the relationships that develop among members become part of the healing.

Self-Reflection Consultation Group
A space for therapists to know themselves more fully
This ongoing online group offers Black women and women of color therapists a dedicated space to know themselves more fully; in community, in relationship, and in the here and now. Therapists spend their professional lives holding others. This group creates room to set that down.
Together, members explore what arises personally and professionally: interpersonal style, conflict, closeness, vulnerability, feedback, and the relational patterns that shape how we show up with clients and with each other. The group also makes space for what often goes unnamed: the exhaustion of doing this work inside systems shaped by race and power, and the weight of hyper-responsibility.
Virtual. Schedule, fee, group size, and start date coming soon. Reach out to hear when it opens.
Offered as reflective consultation and professional development rather than therapy, with the focus on you as a clinician rather than on case material.

Questions about joining a group
How do I know if a group is right for me?
We figure that out together. After you reach out, we meet for a conversation about what you are hoping for, what has brought you here, and whether the group is a good fit right now. If it is not the right fit, I will help you think about what might be.
What if I have never been in a group before?
Most members have not. It is common to feel nervous at the start, and the group moves at a pace that lets people settle in. You decide how much to share and when.
Can I be in a group and in individual therapy at the same time?
Yes, and many people find that the two support each other. We can talk about how they fit together when we meet.
Is what I share kept private?
Members agree to keep what is shared in the group confidential. We talk about this agreement before the group begins and return to it whenever we need to.
